Ok, so first off, had to renew my sub cause I miss all my extra things on my page lol. But yeah, you heard right, the time for my new pc (well new parts) is fast approaching. I'm looking to get new memory, a new motherboard, a new processor, and a new video card. I tried looking into the bundles where video card chipsets come with the motherboard and processors are thrown into the bundle, but I can't seem to find something that suits me well, so I think going in the direction of getting a motherboard without a chipset is the best thing to do. So far I've been looking at these 2 things
[link]It's a good video card, 512 memory will be nice for playing computer games like GTA 4, Crysis, Call of Duty World at War, and maybe even Far Cry 2 lol.
[link]It's a quad core AMD phenom processor; not much these days that this thing would have a problem running effectively.
Now when it comes to new motherboards, something I don't fully understand is chip sets. Can you get a motherboard in this day and age that doesn't have a video chipset put into it, or is it just standard? I know you can put seprate video cards into them, but I guess my main concern is if I'm spending more money than I need to on a motherboard with a chipset. If this is something that just comes standard then I'm not going to worry cause dual video cards seems to be the wave of the future anyways, plus it couldn't hurt lol. Anything beats my current 128 mb video card now. So yeah, I'm just looking for a motherboard under 100. If someone finds a good AMD motherboard that would work with that processor and video card and isnt micro, let me know

If you can, get a Phenom II X2 550 instead. Although it has only 2 cores, in most cases it will pull ahead of the 9600 quite far due to its clockspeed and optimizations. It's a far better choice for games and normal Photoshop use, slower in rendering though. You can even get it to 3.5-3.6Ghz easily regardless of chipset.
Plus, there's a combo deal on Newegg right now:

A birthday is just a day, you say.
But it's a special day.
It's the day you first changed the world.
