Photography can be dificult at times, getting the right shutter speed, making sure your photo isn't too dark, making sure you aren't burning any parts of the photo, etc. A lot of it has to do with being in the right place at the right time. I can't even think of how many times I wanted to be at a higher elevation when I see something beautiful in the sky, and there is just a forest or a house or something blocking your sight.
I still find it fun however. Professional photographers make it look so easy, and at the same time I think that skill is required, but how much of it has to do with being at the right place at the right time? It's dedication that is the real skill, going out and exploring the world is something that not a lot of people can be motivated to do. When you start to appreciate the beauty of nature, just looking at the change in seasons from day to do, I never thought I could appreciate nature as much as I do. Anyways, I hope you people can share my insight and vision. In spite of all the bad things that happen in this world of ours, just looking at all the art on this site can bring some light to my day, and hopefully your day too . Enjoy!
Mmm. ComEd. Were you making a statement about how people run powerlines through nature? Because you COULD be making a statement about how people run powerlines through nature. Or organic compared to inorganic. Nice shot. The composition is cut horizontaly down the middle, which I find a bit distracting, but overall a very nice shot. Yes, the focal point definatly becomes the powerlines -- circular composition, linear structure, area of greatest contrast... etc, etc.
